D-PRO is a software based lighting controller
which plays well with a host of different professional level hardware
devices from ENTTEC. It has plenty of advanced features for the most
demanding lighting professional, allowing for control of up to 8
universes worth of DMX512 data, and it packs more than a few
innovations.
D-PRO's graphical user interface will allow novices and veterans alike a
quick learning curve, but for the seasoned operator who wishes it, a
robust command line is available. It supports virtually unlimited cues,
palettes and groups, a multi-layered cuelist playback engine,
scripting, effects and much more.
With the Advanced Timing feature, any category of attributes
for any fixture can have its own time in a cue, separate from the
overall cue timing.
A concept familiar to many moving light console users, the
"Programmer" area allows live edits to be made, and saved as a cue,
group, or palette.
D-PRO employs standard editing conventions for cutting, pasting and copying so it's easy to learn and powerful to use.
D-PRO supports all three of Enttec's popular wing series natively.
In conjunction with the release of D-Pro Enttec is announcing a
standalone version. Immediatly available for the Datagate Mk2, and soon
on a new USB-based product.

Feature
Description
Groups
Unlimited Groups are allowed. D-PRO considers a Group to
be a pointer to a selection of fixtures, which can include
non-consecutive ordering for purposes of fanning
them or chasing through them in an effect. When effects and/or
cues are built using Groups as containers, the result of later edits to
the Group can be propagated automatically.
Palette
Unlimited Palettes are allowed. These are reusable
building blocks of attribute information that are linked to one or more
specific fixtures.
Cue
Unlimited Cues can be built and included in the show file.
These are typically assembled from Groups and ad hoc selections of
fixtures and may include the application of Palettes to them, or static
levels, or Effects, in any combination. The Cues in turn are able to be
assembled in a sequence into a Cuelist. where timing information can be
saved.
Advanced Timing
With the Advanced Timing feature, any category of
attributes for any fixture can have its own time in a cue, separate from
the overall cue timing.
Effects
D-PRO has an extendable effects system based on the Python
language. Users who are familiar with this environment can therefore
write their own effects and plug them into the operation of the program.
Submasters
Submasters are supported in the Show Control window, and
they can be tied to physical input devices on a variety of hardware
accessories. The user can load different cues or cuelists on to the
submasters.
Programmer
A concept familiar to many moving light console users, the
"Programmer" area allows live edits to be made, and saved as a cue,
group, or palette.
Programmer Blind
Blind mode is used for editing in the programmer without affecting stage output.
Timeline
Cuelists are created and edited with an intuitive
drag-and-drop operation. Timeline based editing gives the user powerful
easy to comprehend controls. In the timeline fades are adjusted for
start and stop points as well as position relative to audio tracks. Any
single cue can be placed in multiple locations on the cuelist or into
multiple cuelists.
Grand Master
The Grand Master is applied to intensity parameters
exclusively, allowing all other parameters (beam, color, ect..) to
remain independent, simplifying programming and expediting the learning
curve.
Standard editing
D-PRO employs standard editing conventions for cutting, pasting and copying so it's easy to learn and powerful to use.
DMX Output
Output setting is configured in a spreadsheet where
the user can select the hardware type, protocol, and settings for that
output type.
Wing support
D-PRO supports all three of Enttec's popular wing series natively
Standalone
In conjunction with the release of D-Pro Enttec is
announcing a standalone version. Immediatly available for the Datagate
Mk2, and soon on a new USB-based product.
Fixture Library
The online fixture editor gives users one central
location to create new fixture profiles and download pre-configured
fixture profiles from our development team and other users.
Event triggering
Cuelist triggers, and command line input is user
configured to work in conjunction with a variety of sources including
keyboard shortcuts, touchscreen-friendly buttons, MIDI input, and any
ENTTEC hardware wing.
Licensing
The two versions of D-PRO initially being
offered, address licensing and copy protection effectively and
efficiently. The Free version requires the use of an Enttec device such
as the DMX USB PRO or Datagate MK2 for output. Full version users have
access to a wider range of features, greater technical support, and an
abbreviated registration process.
Audio Events
Audio files (containing background audio, sound fx, ect...) can be added to cuelists, for synchronised playback.
Visual Layout
The on-screen fixture layout is user configurable to
represent equipment in real space, aiding in fixture selection and
visual feedback of live status.
