The AMX NMX-ENC-N3132 is an advanced H.264 compressed video over IP encoder designed to provide a high-quality, low-latency video streaming solution for various applications. Part of the N3000 Series, the NMX-ENC-N3132 is perfect for scenarios where bandwidth efficiency is crucial, offering excellent video quality at half the bandwidth of comparable encoders. With a range of features designed for flexibility and scalability, this encoder delivers a reliable and high-performance solution for applications such as digital signage, video distribution to desktop, streaming to set-top boxes, and mobile devices.
The NMX-ENC-N3132 utilizes the H.264 compression engine, supporting resolutions up to 1080p60 while ensuring minimal latency. It allows for adjustable bit-rates from 32 Kbps to 10 Mbps, offering exceptional video fidelity even at lower bandwidths. This encoder supports unicast and multicast streaming, making it compatible with a wide range of software and hardware endpoints, such as desktop applications and devices like Roku, Amino, or Google TV. Additionally, the encoder supports multiple streaming protocols including RTP and RTSP, providing further flexibility for integration into a variety of environments.
The encoder card offers versatile video input options including HDMI, DVI-D, Dual-Mode DisplayPort (DP++), and RGB/VGA inputs. These inputs make it compatible with a broad range of video sources, and the HDMI input is capable of handling HDCP content protection. The encoder outputs compressed video over Ethernet via a standard RJ45 port or fiber via a 1G SFP port, allowing it to seamlessly integrate into existing network infrastructures. The output resolutions match the input, and the encoder supports up to 1080p60 progressive video and 1080i60 interlaced video.
In terms of audio, the NMX-ENC-N3132 supports embedded audio from HDMI (or DVI-D through an adapter) and analog stereo sources, with output available through Ethernet or on the HDMI/DVI-D pass-through. The encoder is capable of handling 8-channel PCM and stereo 2-channel audio formats, with digital-to-analog conversion at 16-bit, supporting sampling rates of 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, and 48 kHz. This ensures that both video and audio are seamlessly integrated into your streaming solutions.
The NMX-ENC-N3132 is powered through Power over Ethernet (PoE), eliminating the need for a separate power supply and simplifying installation. It can also be powered locally through a 12VDC input, making it a flexible option for both low and high-density installations. Its on-board control capability allows for the triggering of TCP/UDP commands to other IP-controllable devices, facilitating integration with larger control systems.
For integration into existing systems, the NMX-ENC-N3132 includes full support for HDCP content protection and EDID management, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of video sources and displays. The encoder card also features IR emitter support, enabling control of low-cost IR-only display devices. Additionally, the unit's front panel is equipped with a USB-A connector for audio/video stream recording, while the rear panel features an HDMI input/output, VGA input, and various network ports for video and audio transmission.
