For extended distances, fiber media converters can be employed, allowing for device separations of over 40 kilometers. This digital audio bus represents channels 1-48 of the larger 256-channel Soundweb London digital audio bus, making the BLU-100 fully compatible with other Soundweb London devices such as the BLU-800, BLU-320, BLU-160, BLU-120, and BLU-BOB, providing seamless integration and system expansion capabilities.
The 12 analog inputs of the BLU-100 feature software-configurable gain in 6dB steps up to +48dB per channel, as well as software-selectable phantom power per channel. The front panel of the unit provides clear LED indicators for phantom power, signal present, and clip status, ensuring that critical information is easily accessible without the need for a PC. Additionally, the BLU-100 includes a bi-directional locate function that allows users to identify devices both from and within the HiQnet Audio Architect software, streamlining system management.
