The large port on the front of the cabinet enhances low-frequency response by coupling with the floor, providing greater bass clarity. This port also serves multiple functions, housing the carrying handle, the passive/active mode switch, and dual input connectors. These connectors are conveniently concealed and protected, allowing the wedges to be placed closely together without interfering with their performance. The MW12's port design also allows additional cables to be stored without negatively affecting the low-frequency performance, making setup and storage more efficient. The rubber feet on the bottom of the enclosure reduce abrasion and protect the cabinet during use, while the integrated rigging hardware mounted at the bottom facilitates easy flying for different installation setups.

The MW12's Baltic birch plywood enclosure is protected by EAW's RoadCoat finish, which offers superior durability and resistance to wear and tear, while the rugged steel grille maintains its distinctive shape even when subjected to rough handling, such as being stepped on.
