The AC15 is equipped with a 1-inch dome tweeter integrated into a newly designed 90° x 90° waveguide, providing even coverage throughout the intended usage area. This combination of tweeter and waveguide produces smooth power response and ensures that the sound maintains a natural voicing, regardless of the listener's position in the coverage area. The high-frequency driver works seamlessly with the 5.25-inch Symmetrical Field Geometry (SFG) low-frequency transducer, which features a 1.5-inch copper-clad aluminum voice coil and a copper-capped pole piece. This design reduces voice coil inductance and distortion, resulting in higher performance and clearer sound reproduction, especially in demanding environments.

The rugged multi-ply hardwood enclosure of the AC15 is designed to deliver durability and reliable performance in both vertical and horizontal planes. Its compact design allows for installation in tight spaces while ensuring that the speaker can handle high output without distortion. The enclosure is finished in JBL's textured DuraFlex coating, providing a robust, long-lasting finish that stands up to the rigors of professional installations.
