The anodized aluminum voice coil former and high-temperature voice coil provide exceptional reliability, making it a suitable choice for demanding environments.

The speaker is further enhanced by its 19 mm (3/4-inch) soft-dome high-frequency driver, which incorporates a treated silk dome for smooth, natural high frequencies. The Kapton voice coil and liquid cooling system ensure high-frequency response with minimal distortion, while the wide-dispersion waveguide design delivers uniform sound coverage across the listening area. The Control 16C/T also features a robust design, with a flame-rated ABS baffle and zinc-plated steel backcan. It includes a pre-attached blind-mount backcan, making installation quick and easy, especially in shallow ceiling cavities. The system's locking connector ensures secure wiring connections, while the included strain reliefs provide added security for cables and flex conduits. The speaker also includes a safety seismic attachment ring on the top surface, ensuring secure mounting in all environments.

Installation is further simplified with the included C-ring support backing plate and tile support rails, which make it ideal for use in a variety of ceiling types. Additionally, the speaker is provided with a cardboard cutout template for precise and efficient installation.
