The 1040's stepless counterbalance system is continuously variable, providing optimal support for both lightweight and heavy camera setups, from ENG-style cameras to smaller, more compact rigs. This ensures a consistent operational feel regardless of the weight of the camera, allowing for intuitive control and reduced effort during operation.

The head includes a large Euro-style quick release plate for quick and easy mounting and dismounting of the camera.
