The Quasar Science RR50 is a 2FT 50W RGBX Double Rainbow 2 LED tube designed to deliver powerful, image-accurate illumination in a compact, low-profile form. Building on the Rainbow 2's renowned color performance and shape, the Double Rainbow doubles the lamp width for increased brightness - up to twice the output of comparable single-width fixtures - while still maintaining the sleek, linear design that fits into tight set spaces. It is ideal for use as a source light, a practical element, or a key fixture in image-based lighting arrays, with spectral precision and robust construction that meets the demands of both studio and on-location productions.

At the core of the RR50 is the RGBX Spectral Science Color Engine, offering more than one billion spectrally accurate colors with high fidelity across the full spectrum. The fixture delivers exceptional white light tunability from 1750K to 10000K and achieves industry-leading color rendering with CRI up to 95, TLCI 95, TM30 up to 94, and SSI ratings optimized for camera sensors. Whether daylight-balanced or tungsten-warm, the RR50 provides consistently reliable output with no flicker and 100% smooth dimming, supporting precise color shifts and a perceptually uniform transition throughout its CCT range. Advanced hue and saturation control allows full-gamut mixing and targeted spectral sculpting with spectral control for enhanced artistic flexibility.

The RR50 features 20 independent pixel zones, enabling dynamic light animation, complex gradients, and built-in effects such as fire, paparazzi, and short circuit. It can be controlled locally using the onboard OLED display or externally through wired DMX, Art-Net, and sACN via RJ45, as well as wirelessly via Bluetooth, CRMX, W-DMX, or Wi-Fi. It also integrates seamlessly with the starCTRL mobile app for intuitive remote configuration. The Ossium Mounting System (OMS) enables a variety of rigging options with included Slider and Baby Pin, while the fixture is fully compatible with the Swaptics lens system (sold separately) for additional beam-shaping control.

Power options include universal AC via powerCON TRUE1 or DC via barrel/coax input, with the ability to run on 12-30VDC using external battery plates (sold separately). The included 8FT AC and DC cables make it easy to deploy on any set. The entire system is fanless and passively cooled for silent operation. Packed in a rugged build with included Q-Boot bumpers, the RR50 is ready for demanding production environments where quiet performance, color accuracy, and mounting flexibility are essential.
