Designed for versatility, the NX 985-A can be used as a stand-alone system, paired with another NX 985-A, or combined with the RCF SUB 8008-AS subwoofer for a high-power four-way system that handles demanding applications. The speaker is also flexible enough to be used as a floor monitor or flown in various configurations. With RCF's proprietary FiRPHASE and Bass Motion Control (BMC) processing, the NX 985-A ensures precise phase response and optimized woofer excursion management, delivering extended linearity and more stable bass reproduction. This speaker is also equipped with True Outdoor Protection (TOP) PowerCON TRUE1 power connectors, making it suitable for harsh environments and outdoor use.

The NX 985-A is powered by an advanced 2-channel Class-D amplifier, capable of delivering a peak power output of 2,100W. The amplifier operates efficiently, generating low heat loss and requiring no cooling fan thanks to its solid aluminum heat exchanger. The speaker is equipped with RCF's low distortion design for the input circuit and features a safety limiter to preserve the integrity of the signal at high volumes.
