In its standard configuration, the Compact Stagebox 32/16 C5 features 32 mic/line inputs, 16 analog line outputs, and two expansion slots for Studer D21m I/O cards. These slots allow users to expand the stagebox's capabilities by adding digital format connections such as CobraNet, AVIOM A-Net16, Ethersound, ADAT, RockNet, or even MADI recording interfaces. The flexibility of the D21m I/O architecture allows for easy integration with a variety of digital mixing systems, ensuring that the Compact Stagebox can be tailored to meet the specific needs of any live sound environment.

The modular design of the Compact Stagebox allows for extensive customization, including the ability to replace output modules with additional mic/line input modules, expanding the input capacity to 48 channels.
