The console also features a 1kHz oscillator for testing and calibrating audio systems, making it easy to verify signal flow and troubleshoot any issues.

Another unique feature of the GB8-40 is the built-in limiter on both the record output and the alternate stereo output. This ensures clean, distortion-free recordings and prevents level spikes that could damage connected recording equipment. The rugged steel chassis of the GB8-40 includes a sloping rear connector panel, making it easy to access and configure connections from the front of the desk.
