At the heart of the SA153 is Tom Danley's advanced Paraline Lens and Synergy Horn technologies, which combine to deliver exceptional high output and pristine sound clarity. The SA153 incorporates a 15" neodymium woofer and a coaxial compression driver mounted on a 22.5° horizontal by 45° vertical constant directivity horn. The unique Paraline lens channels sound waves through equidistant paths, transforming the point-source compression driver into a line-source with constant phase and amplitude. This results in a balanced sound field and consistent coverage, both horizontally and vertically, ensuring clear and even sound throughout the venue. The speaker's innovative design also allows for cabinets to be placed side by side without interference, enabling 360-degree coverage without lobing or distortion.

The SA153 is equipped with a simplified rear panel, offering easy control integration for any sound environment. Key features include a level control knob, a dedicated HF Adjust selector, and a Mode Switch (Sub/No Sub), allowing users to fine-tune the speaker's performance. The speaker also includes a high-pass filter at 40 Hz when used without a sub and a 100 Hz filter when used with a sub.
