The Yorkville SA221S is a 17,000W dual 21-inch powered bass reflex subwoofer designed to deliver exceptional low-end performance for professional sound reinforcement. Part of the Synergy Array Series, the SA221S is an ideal solution for large venues, touring productions, and bass-heavy events such as concerts and festivals. With its powerful output and punchy transients, the SA221S provides a massive, enveloping bass tone that enhances the overall audio experience. It can be used as a standalone subwoofer or combined with the SA153 full-range top and SA315S subwoofers to create a scalable, high-performance sound system.

At the heart of the SA221S are two 21" neodymium woofers with 4.5" Tetra Coils, ensuring exceptional efficiency and bass clarity. The subwoofer features a frequency response range of 28 Hz to 100 Hz, delivering tight, deep bass that remains consistent and powerful across a wide range of low frequencies. The 17,000W peak power (6,000W program) provided by the Class-D amplifier ensures that the SA221S can produce extremely high output levels without sacrificing performance. The integrated DSP protects the driver by incorporating advanced excursion, thermal, and clipping limiters, as well as using IIR filters for crossover and equalization to ensure clean, accurate audio reproduction.

The SA221S offers flexible control and integration with other speakers, featuring a selectable high-pass filter at either 50 Hz or 100 Hz, making it ideal for use with the SA153 or SA315S subwoofers. The rear panel includes a Sub Level control knob for adjusting the subwoofer's output, and the Average Power Limit knob helps manage power consumption, ensuring that the system operates within its power capacity without tripping breakers. The subwoofer also has a user-friendly set of LED indicators for monitoring power, excursion limits, thermal limits, input clipping, and activity. Its rugged 15mm birch plywood enclosure, covered with durable paint, is designed for longevity and transportability. The SA221S also features 12 handles for easy movement and four locking swivel casters on the rear for convenient mobility during setup and breakdown.
