The BLU-8v2-BLK is equipped with two rotary encoders, a nine-segment meter, and five push buttons, allowing users to intuitively control and monitor audio levels across multiple zones. The device supports three modes of operation-Single Mode (One Page), Button Mode (Four Pages), and Encoder Mode (Eight Pages)-offering versatile control options tailored to specific application needs.

RGB LEDs provide visual feedback by assigning unique colors to different zones, ensuring that users can confidently make adjustments to remote zones. The nine-segment meter, fully customizable through HiQnet London Architect, typically displays the program level of the selected zone but temporarily switches to represent gain levels during adjustments. This dynamic feedback enhances the user experience by providing clear and immediate visual indicators.

To conserve energy and minimize distractions in low-light environments, the BLU-8v2-BLK features a sleep mode that dims the LEDs after a predetermined period of inactivity, leaving only the Locate Button faintly illuminated. The device automatically returns to full brightness when a control adjustment is made. Additionally, the lockout feature ensures security in public areas by requiring a 4-digit PIN for access. This feature can be combined with the sleep mode, automatically locking the controller when it enters sleep mode, thereby preventing unauthorized adjustments.

Designed for flexible deployment, the BLU-8v2-BLK offers Ethernet connectivity and can be powered via 14-48V DC or Power over Ethernet (P).
