The device offers three configurable modes of operation: Single Mode (One Page), Button Mode (Four Pages), and Encoder Mode (Eight Pages), providing flexibility to suit different application needs.

One of the standout features of the BLU-8v2-WHT is its customizable RGB LEDs, which provide visual feedback by assigning unique colors to different zones. This feature ensures that users can confidently make adjustments to remote zones with ease. The nine-segment meter, fully customizable through HiQnet London Architect, typically displays the program level of the selected zone but temporarily switches to represent gain levels during adjustments, enhancing the user experience with clear and immediate visual indicators.

To conserve energy and minimize distractions in low-light environments, the BLU-8v2-WHT includes a sleep mode that dims the LEDs after a predetermined period of inactivity, leaving only the Locate Button faintly illuminated. The controller automatically returns to full brightness when a control adjustment is made. For added security in public areas, the lockout feature requires a 4-digit PIN for access, preventing unauthorized adjustments. This lockout feature can be combined with the sleep mode, automatically locking the controller when it enters sleep mode.

The BLU-8v2-WHT offers Ethernet connectivity and can be powered via 14-48V DC or Power over Ethernet (P), providing flexible installation options. The controller's customizable LED colors, dual-function meter, and robust security features make it a versatile and reliable solution for managing audio in complex installations. Available in both white (BLU-8V2-WHT) and black (BLU-8V2-BLK), the BLU-8v2 fits seamlessly into any decor, with custom metal faceplates and overlays available from third-party vendors for additional customization.
