The AC16-WH features a 1-inch exit compression driver integrated into a newly designed 90° x 90° PT (Progressive Transition) waveguide. This waveguide delivers even coverage throughout the entire listening area, ensuring smooth power response and natural voicing. This combination of the high-frequency driver and waveguide ensures that sound is evenly distributed across the intended space, providing clarity and depth even in the farthest reaches of the coverage area. The AC16-WH utilizes a 6.5-inch Symmetrical Field Geometry (SFG) low-frequency transducer that incorporates a 2-inch voice coil. The copper-clad aluminum edge-wound voice coil, along with the copper-clad pole piece, minimizes distortion and inductance, delivering high-performance bass with low distortion, making it suitable for demanding environments.

Designed for both vertical and horizontal use, the AC16-WH's rugged enclosure is constructed from 12 mm and 15 mm multi-ply hardwood plywood, which ensures durability and rigidity while minimizing any unwanted vibrations. The enclosure features JBL's textured DuraFlex finish, providing a rugged exterior that withstands the rigors of commercial installations.
