The JBL Professional PD6212/66-WH is a powerful, 300W passive 2-way horn-loaded loudspeaker that offers high output capability with a 60° by 60° coverage pattern, designed for both music and speech applications. This model is ideal for environments that require precise pattern control and high-performance sound reproduction. The PD6212/66-WH is versatile enough to be used as a standalone unit or in combination with subwoofers to extend its low-frequency response for full-range systems. With its white finish, it blends seamlessly into a wide variety of professional settings, offering both excellent sound and aesthetic appeal.
The PD6212/66-WH features a 12-inch low-frequency transducer (M222-8A) that is horn-loaded for increased sensitivity and improved pattern control. This driver is designed with high sensitivity and low power compression, enabling it to handle high continuous SPL levels with low distortion. The transducer's newly designed phasing plug extends the frequency response, ensuring a smooth transition to the high-frequency driver. The 2453H large-format high-frequency compression driver utilizes a neodymium magnet and a pure titanium diaphragm to deliver clear, intelligible high-frequency projection. It offers extended frequency response and very low distortion, even at high drive levels, making it ideal for demanding sound reinforcement applications.
The PD6212/66-WH incorporates large PT Progressive Transition waveguides that provide optimal control over the 60° x 60° coverage pattern, minimizing distortion while maintaining a smooth frequency response. These waveguides also ensure natural sound reproduction, making the speaker perfect for both foreground and background sound reinforcement in a variety of environments. The low- and high-frequency horns are rotatable, allowing users to position the cabinet in either horizontal or vertical orientations based on the installation needs. The speaker's high-slope crossover network minimizes band overlap, improving off-axis response and overall system arrayability. This enables smooth integration into larger systems with other JBL loudspeakers.
In bi-amplified mode, the PD6212/66-WH can achieve a maximum SPL of 135 dB continuous average (141 dB peak) for both the low and high-frequency drivers. In passive mode, the maximum SPL is 132 dB continuous average (138 dB peak). This loudspeaker offers high sensitivity with a passive mode sensitivity rating of 107 dB-SPL (1W @ 1m), ensuring that it can achieve exceptional volume levels with minimal power input. The cabinet is built to withstand the rigors of demanding installations, constructed from 16 mm (5/8 inch) exterior-grade Finnish birch plywood and finished with JBL's durable black DuraFlex coating. The white finish variant ensures that the PD6212/66-WH can blend into a variety of environments while maintaining professional-grade sound performance.
The PD6212/66-WH is designed for easy installation with 20 M10 threaded suspension points, providing a wide range of mounting options. It is equipped with Neutrik Speakon NL4 connectors as well as CE-compliant barrier strip terminals, offering secure and flexible connectivity for different system setups. Optional weather-resistant versions are available, including the WRC version for sheltered outdoor applications and the WRX version for extreme outdoor conditions such as tropical or beach environments. The weather-resistant options ensure the speaker's performance even in harsh environmental conditions such as salt air, extreme humidity, or rapid temperature changes.
